The association Jazz in Hällevik has an artistic council that arranges the booking of bands for the festival. Their selections are based on the diversity of the festival and they take into consideration factors such as instrumentation, content, song list and band size, along with gender and age and, of course, the different styles of music associated with traditional jazz.
