2021 Festival is now cancelled.

Report from our AGM
On 28th March 2021 we carried out a digital annual general meeting. Around 25 members were involved. Elections were conducted and we are grateful for the continuity provided as a result of the approval of all re-elections.
There was one new appointment however, that of Stephanie Nyblom Gunnarsson as the festival’s auditor.
A Corona working group is formed
s a result of the global Covid pandemic, the festival committee has formed a working group to analyse the current situation and, as far as is possible, to try to predict future developments. Will there be a festival this year or do we need to cancel?
We are currently working on the basis that the festival will go ahead. Up until the next meeting of the Corona group (in around 3 weeks) we are working on a broad front with a number of different alternatives to safeguard the festival’s future.
The work of the festival’s artistic council
The ”AC” is in constant and open dialogue with the bands booked for the summer’s festival. Keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.
Finances, sponsors and donations
We are in discussions with all bodies where we have applied for grants for our operations: the State, Region Blekinge, the Municipality of Sölvesborg, etc. What happens to grants in the event of a cancelled festival? How can we create positive results, or at least, minimise the damage caused to the festival, its sponsors and partners and, not least, to the cultural workers and tourism-based operations that have already been so badly affected? So far everyone that we have encountered has had a positive attitude and a willingness to do their best to help.
